National Trust: Arlington Court
Arlington Court is a beautiful house in the Exmoor National Park. The Chichester family have held the estate for over five hundred years.
The collection consists of treasures for all tastes; from model ships to shells; all collected over many years.
Originally built in 1823, an extension was added in 1863. The exterior of the house is simple. The rooms are cosy with a homely atmosphere.
The Carriage Museum is located in the stables. On display is a vehicle for every occasion. Literally from cradle to the grave.
The Speaker’s State Coach is on loan from the Houses of Parliament. The Stage Coach is a beautiful gilt carriage. Its long history spans 300 years.
