Summer days on the deck at Highcliffe House.
Making the decision to build the new garden deck was a big one. In fact has been the most expensive addition to date. We could never imagine how gorgeous it would really look until we look at it now. Its prominent position in the centre of the garden offers some of the best views imaginable. The plants are maturing around it and helping it blend perfectly into the landscape.
We mentioned in a previous post that our regular guests we unaware of the existing terrace. Here’s a picture of it.
Rather neglected wasn’t it?
It’s an entirely different picture now. The garden has sprung to life and nestles the new deck perfectly. One of the best parts for us … watching our guests enjoying their cream tea, glass of wine or just reading a book.
It truly is the perfect place to escape, whilst keeping vigil over Lynton and the land and sea beyond.
Meadow garden borders
We made a conscious decision to keep as much ‘meadow’ as possible. This includes the bank and border edges.
Perfect for allowing nature to ‘do its thing’. The growth is spectacular; the sprays of colour and texture are just stunning.
