The Garden Terrace at Highcliffe House | Lynton
We’re excited to announce the completion of our new garden terrace ready for 2017. It boasts stunning views over Lynton and beyond.
The garden at Highcliffe House has always had a terrace. We found that many of our guests were unaware of its existence. As such it was rebuilt out of sturdy railway sleepers and steel. It offers our guests some of the most beautiful views in Lynton.
Sit back and relax
Guests will be able to enjoy their cream tea and scones or chilled champagne whilst enjoying fine views of the Exmoor coast. Guests that check in to Highcliffe House can enjoy a complementary cream tea or drink from the bar. It’s the perfect way to wind down after a long drive.
The garden terrace is not just to enjoy upon arrival, guests can use the garden terrace at any time – night or day. Imagine on those barmy Summer evenings sitting with the one you love, drinks of your choice whilst gazing at the stars in the night sky. North Devon benefits from very little light pollution. This is why you can see millions and millions of twinkling stars.
Exploring new places
From the new terrace guests can take in the stunning views of Countisbury Hill and Foreland Point. Foreland Point is the rocky headland seen in the distance past Countisbury Hill, near Lynmouth. It’s the most northerly point along the North Devon and Exmoor coast.
Part of the famous South West Coastal Path passes through Foreland Point. Find out more information here.
