Charming B&B in Lynton a little late with this review but my wife and I had the pleasure to stay at Highcliff House B&B for two nights in late May. We drove her following our stay in Bath. Beautiful home and excellent location and the owners could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The home sits atop of a large hill overlooking the lovely town of Lynton and the seafront town of Lynmouth overlooking the Bristol Straights. There is ample on site parking. We had reserved the Summerhouse Suite which was beautifully appointed with a comfy large king bed, a fire place and a couch in front of the window with a beautiful view of the town of Lynton, Lynmouth and the Bristol Straights with views of the coastline of Wales from our room. Each morning we were treated to a gourmet full breakfast with multiple options. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. They ask the evening before to give your order and time of breakfast. The breakfast room has many windows and is a lovely location to start your day. The breakfast room is overlooking the town below and the water. Stunning. The towns of Lynton and Lynmouth and the surrounding area are very nice and worthy of a visit with many beautiful options for walks along the cliff overlooking the sea or strolling through the town. We very much enjoyed our stay and if in this charmimg area of England again would certainly recommend Highcliff house to any traveller.

Excellent B&B on the edge of Exmoor My wife and I have stayed on short breaks at Highcliffe House for over 20 years and it just gets better and better. The house itself is fascinating with amazing views across to the Welsh coast. The hosts, Robert and Richard, are friendly but not intrusive. Nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the TV's have all the streaming services. Breakfasts are sumptuous,, delicious and varied. Highly recommended once again.

Highcliffe House is exceptional An absolute gem in Lynton. The accommodations, breakfast (excellently prepared by Richard) and the service was exceptional. Robert and Richard are very welcoming and strive to make you feel at home. They both take time out to answer any questions and offer suggestions for a memorable visit. My room (Hollerday) was elegant and charming. Very comfortable four poster bed, clean and well equipped bathroom with plenty of hot water, and very quiet in the evening. The town of Lynton and Lynmouth is also spectacular. It was wonderful to stroll through the lovely streets. They have plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants and pubs. For the adventurous, there are many walking trails and foot paths to keep you stimulated for hours or stroll along the beach and gaze across Bristol Channel to Wales. I would highly recommend Highcliff House to family and friends.

Relaxing, high quality accommodations, 5 star meals, fabulous hosts!!! I stayed at Highcliffe House for a birthday weekend. What a wonderful place to stay. I travel the world and have stayed in many top hotels. Highcliffe House rivals all top stays. The attention to detail was unbelievable! The breakfast was incredible, served with artistic flair on bone china. Each day presented a new fine china pattern to enjoy. The room was finely appointed with antiques and fine linens. I have never been presented with such an incredible setup in my room when I arrived: little cakes and sweets, quality robes and slippers, and a hot water bottle with a custom crochet cover when you are feeling a bit sore. Robert and Richard are fantastic hosts. They really have thought of everything! This is a not-to-miss location.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit Liebe bis ins kleinste Detail Die Unterkunft war einfach traumhaft. Robert und Richard waren extrem bemüht und es ist alles mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet – wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt! Das Frühstück kann für jeden Tag bestellt werden und wird ebenfalls sehr liebevoll serviert, wir waren begeistert! Klare Empfehlung! Wer etwas besonderes für seinen Trip sucht ist hier definitiv richtig ☺️

Perfect short break away. Just had an absolutely lovley stay at Highcliffe.. the hosts ( Robert & Richard) couldn't be more welcoming and accommodating..... the rooms and the whole place was absolutely spotless from top to bottom. The decor was very well displayed and the detail in every room was noticeable and pleasing to the eye. The breakfast was second to none and amazing!! We will definitely be returning in the New Year and would highly recommend to anyone. The location was perfect for the town which is very quaint in itself. Very well done to Robert & Richard and their team for such a superb place 👏👏.

The ultimate in Bed and Breakfast. A visit is a must. As always, a weekend away at Highcliffe House is such a treat. Welcoming hosts and a comfortable stay in luxurious rooms with a delicious choice of breakfast dishes served in a dining room with spectacular views. We couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Pure Perfection on the Edge of Exmoor My stay at Highcliffe House was exceptional. The decor is stunning, every detail thoughtfully considered. The views over the Bristol Channel are breathtaking, and the breakfast - honestly the best I’ve ever had- was a highlight. Perfectly located on Exmoor for walking, it’s pure comfort and style from start to finish. I absolutely loved it.

A Woderful Holiday The stunning views from Highcliffe are an absolute joy. Robert and Richard were excellent hosts and were always readily available to advise us on their favourite restaurants etc. Our room was immaculate and comfortable which lead to a double seated balcony overlooking the sea. The art throughout is spectacular with very stylish decor and furniture. The breakfasts were excellent with a wide variety of choices. We would highly recommend classy Highcliffe House. 3 fabulous nights at Highcliffe We had the most wonderful 3 night stay at Highcliffe House. Robert & Richard are the best of hosts. The detailed information emails provided in advance gave us everything we needed to know about how to get there, what to expect and advice on where to eat in the evenings. Highcliffe is such a beautiful house. Our room was immaculate with beautiful views (binoculars provided to maximise view). Breakfast was just delicious each morning with beautiful views and the hosts have an excellent system in place to ensure it’s exactly what & when the guest requests. Superb Stay! Recently had the pleasure of spending four nights for my wife’s birthday. Amazing place, amazing hosts, stunning views. The attention to detail provided by Richard and Robert was fascinating. Great artwork on the walls, clean and luxurious. Very nice housekeepers also. Appreciate the effort to move seats for a different view each morning at breakfast Breakfast by the way always hit the back of the net, 4 nil!

A magical experience From start to finish our stay at Highcliffe House far exceeded our expectations. Robert and Richard have created a fabulous and relaxing environment. We stayed in the Countisbury room and enjoyed the sunrise on our first morning followed by the excellent breakfast in the conservatory. Robert and Richard have ensured that everything about the hotel is immaculate down to the finest detail, reflecting their warmth towards us, the comfort of our surroundings and the exquisite decor. First Class Late but not forgotten - we were invited guests to the Dorchester Hotel - London - what a disappointment breakfast was there - no comparison whatsoever to what Highcliffe House can produce - first class ingredients - Richard walks out of the kitchen after working his magic and the plates of food not only look good and are well presented they taste superb. Highcliffe House is a truly beautiful place to stay Highcliffe House is a really very special place. Our room (Summerhouse) was beautifully decorated, had amazing sea views and had everything for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We liked that guest subscriptions were provided for Netflix, Amazon Prime and Alexa. The breakfast was a real feast, beautifully cooked and presented. The conservatory was a lovely place to relax and enjoy breakfast. Thanks to the team at Highcliffe was making our stay so enjoyable. We hope to return sometime soon.
